Player Of The Month For August

After winning a tie break vote Danny Warrender is your choice for player of the month for August.

In the search for a new prize for a new season I asked for suggestions, because we don't want to give them trophies, we don't want thembottles of fizz that will be here today and gone , well later today actually.  We want to give them something that will last.  Something that will remind them why they are so appreciated when they run themselves ragged for our club.  We want them to feel they belong.  So there is a choice of three prizes.

1. Two adult memberships

2. Ten Child memberships to a school or community organisation of his choice.

3. One Junior Season Ticket to a school or community organisation of his choice.

New Season Same Old Poll

Finally the season is underway and there is competitive action to write about, moan about and vote on.

So what possible excuse could you have for not doing so.

Player Of The Season Poll

I know, you are now heartily sick of voting your life away so the last thing you want is another poll.  Well hard luck because there it is.  Several players have shone for various parts of the season and in truth like the battle for leading scorer, no-one has elbowed Kyle Wilson out of the way as far as match by match voting has been concerned.  Yet now with the season over and all of us plenty the wiser, here is the shortlist from the match voting.

I will be amazed if I haven't missed somebody's favourite, let me know on the forum if I have and three separate nominations gets him added.

December Player of the Month

As we reach the end of 2008 and we are still here, the individual polls have all produced different winners (including one tie).  So as no-one has recorded any significant second place voting to stand out from the crowd.  The choice is yours in a month end tie break.  Those that have won match polls are the ones included in this choice, so those of you who have nothing to vote for on a New Years Day Poll which doesn't exist vote yourself silly on this.  The winner will get the nice shiny trophy before the Prescot Cables game on the 17th.

This poll will run for seven days regardless of whether the Worksop game is played or not.

Soon with added text appeal

It is planned that the man of the match poll voting will be extended to include phone text votes for those that don't have internet access.

If you are subscribed to the club text service you will soon get details, which if you are reading this you don't actually need, but I am sure you all know someone who does.

branch web and email details

I am working behind the scenes to make the contact details page as accurate as possible.  Some of you have responded to requests on branch forums, for which I thank the individuals concerned.  For others I have sent an email via an address with FC United in it; by way of verification for those who have got one and supplying not enough information to those who haven't.  If the information is correct please just reply YES if you still use the email address but do not wish it to be used on here please reply NO.  I will assume all addresses that do not reply to be out of date.

I have also tried to access the web sites that were listed, and have deleted those that were not found.  If I do you a disservice, I can be pm'd via the unofficial forum.

May I now offer a big thank you to all those who have taken the trouble to contact me regarding this information.  The details now being held on the branch details page are, to the best of my knowledge the most accurate listings of organised supporter groups available.  We hope in the not too distant future to be contacting you with regards to possible events.

If you know of any error or omission, please feel free to let me know.

August Player of the month

As a result of the A-Line sponsorship starting in September, a trophy is needed for David Chadwick for his efforts throughout August.  As the sponsorship is worth more than the value of the trophies previously presented, I want to try and get something better.  Pledges can be made via the forum and collected over the weekend; Nantwich or AFC Liverpool.

 OR!!!

Meet me at reception at 1pm tomorrow with a nice crisp £10.00 donation to SN funds and you could be on the pitch presenting it.  If you can miss me you won't be able to miss the trophy, it's MASSIVE
